Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join one of our clients, a successful business based near Pontefract, who require someone to join them due to growth.The role is ongoing temporary initially but does have potential to go permanent for the right person.
They are looking for someone who has strong, all-round finance experience who has gained exposure to the month end process to allow them to hit the ground running.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:-
-Supporting with the monthly management accounts process
-Accruals, prepayments and journals
-Assisting with cashflow forecasting
-Cash allocation
-Bank reconciliations
-Fixed assets
-Amending invoices and creating credit notes
-Assisting with nominal ledger
-Balance sheet reconciliations
-VAT Returns
-Assisting with more transactional processing duties as and when required
You will:-
-Have good all-round transactional finance experience and will have gained some exposure to management accounts
-Be competent with the use of Excel; have the ability to do pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
-Be immediately available and able to commit to the ongoing nature of the assignment
