If you are currently working for an accountancy practice but feel bored by your day-to-day duties, or struggle to see the progression on offer, then you should certainly consider this role.
This energetic and forward-thinking business are now looking for a Tax Accountant to join their team as soon as possible. This role will be focusing on personal and corporation tax; however, it will also have some involvement in supporting the Client Accountants over their busy periods. Therefore, candidates with a variety of experience, not just tax, would be a great addition to this team.
As the Tax Accountant your day will look something like the below with tons of opportunity to develop and progress where you want.
-Offering a high-quality service to a portfolio of clients, consisting of SME businesses, around their personal tax issues
-Ensuring clients know about any tax liabilities in a timely manner
-Responding to any queries regarding personal tax affairs quickly and professionally
-Preparation of corporate tax computations in support of tax provisions to be included in financial statements and for submission to HMRC
-Completing all tax payments and tax return filings
-Providing support in advising clients on tax planning opportunities
-Drafting correspondence with the client and HMRC
-Looking after clients self-assessments from start to finish
-Research and development reviews
-Working closely with the audit and accounts teams to assist them with tax provisions in accounts
-Support the Client Accountants with any additional account's preparation work across busy periods
You will need to have a background in tax to be considered for this position. Other than that, it's all about you and how you motivate yourself on a day-to-day basis. Our client is looking for someone progressive and full of energy that can bring new ideas into the business.
