Senior Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner

Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with a high performing, PE backed, manufacturing company based in Mirfield, who are looking for a Senior Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner to join their team.

This exciting position will report into a highly enthusiastic Head of Commercial Finance and will give you exceptional exposure across a number of non-finance stakeholders within the business. The role will focus on providing key financial information, which will aid the business in tracking performance against margin expectations and enabling better-informed decisions by the Board and Senior Leadership team.

As the Senior Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner your role will include the following duties:-

-Delivering insight into all drivers behind the gross margin at both customer, product and geographical level
-Business partner closely, building a robust and trustworthy relationship with the Sales Director, focusing on each regions pricing and where improvements can be made
-Look to improve/streamline the current reporting process with the aim to move it from a monthly to a weekly reporting cycle
-Reporting and forecasting distribution expenditure
-Manage two extremely competent and driven part qualified accountants, delegating as required and supporting them to develop quickly
-Partner closely with the manufacturing department to enable you to provide user friendly reporting and ad hoc analysis for the manufacturing cost centres
-Prepare operational budgets and forecasts, detailing key drivers and comparisons from previous years
-Product costing around costing new and existing products
-Partner with the supply chain department to calculate forecast variances as well as reporting actual performance to date
-Ownership of the fixed asset register and CAPEX appraisals
-Review, analyse and issue weekly flash reports for labour and material usage for the business
-Preparation of group commissions and rebates

To be considered for this excellent position, you will need to be a qualified accountant with a background in manufacturing, ideally FMCG, as costing knowledge is going to be key.

Aside from the key experience required, as a person you will be confident, ambitious and someone who is driven by business partnering across a company and getting to know the wider business.
