Senior Group Accountant

Sewell Wallis are exclusively working with a fantastic international business based in south Leeds, who are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded, Senior Group Accountant to join their finance team.

You will have to be a natural finance business partner to succeed in this role, as you will be expected to build long lasting relationships across the company, as well as being a competent technical accountant.

The role would suit someone who has trained in practice and ideally has a year of two's experience in industry. However, 1st time movers at the right level will be considered.

As the Senior Group Accountant, you will report into a highly focused and motivational Finance Director who is keen to pas on their knowledge and expertise to you.

Your duties will include the following:-

-Play a key part in the overall finance function where you will support in the delivery of strategic change and act as a true finance business to all areas across the organisation
-Prepare management information by working closely with the Finance Business Partners and the Head of FP&A, to ensure financial information if prepared and delivered on time
-Ownership of the day-to-day financial processing for several entities in the UK and the rest of the world.
-Control the balance sheet for the relevant entities, including overseas branches
-Ensure financial reporting is produced monthly alongside clearing all balance sheet reconciliations
-Support with the budgeting and monthly forecasting process for the business
-Work closely with the FD on any key projects that will drive strategic change within the business
-Ownership of the audit process, liaising with auditors in the UK and overseas
-Financial analysis to support ad hoc project work

You will need to be a qualified accountant with a strong grasp on what it's like to work for a large, fast paced organisation. Personally, you will be motivated and ambitious, and keen to join a business where you can quickly progress.
