Due to their success they were purchased by a large U.S owned group a number of years ago but continue to operate independently.
The finance team in Leeds accounts for 12 different EU regions and has recently been restructured.
Due to this restructure the business requires a strong technical accountant to be responsible for the compliance for a number of these regions.
This would be a great opportunity for somebody with no industry experience looking to move away from practice and get a large business on their CV.
The ideal candidate will be qualified, organised and be able to communicate with all levels.
Key areas of responsibility;
*Statutory reporting for allocated EU regions, maintaining controls and strong accounting process.
*VAT review for each region as and when required.
*Intrastat reporting for EU regions.
*Main point of contact for allocated regions.
*Support the development of an Assistant Accountant
Being a larger group the accounting function this role is dynamic which offers room for internal movement and progression.
