Sewell Wallis recruitment are currently working with a leading Sheffield based business, who are based in the centre of Sheffield. This is a perfect position for someone who is looking to progress in a finance role.

The role will initially be on a temporary contract of 9 months but may get extended or eventually go permanent.

Your daily duties would include:
-Download bank statements and other financial information from our banks internet sites.
-Uploading and manual input of bank statements into system.
-Investigations and follow up of all non-reconciled items or variances between the bank statement and cashbook entries.
-Ensure all bank statement items in the bank reconciliations are cleared within two working days.
-Ensure all cashbook credit (receipt) items in the bank reconciliation are cleared within two working days.
-Processing of returned unpaid cheques and out of date cheques.
-Opening and Closing designated deposit accounts and performing monthly reconciliations.
-Liaise with banks and auditors.
-Reconciliation of petty cash.


The successful candidate will have:-
-Previous accounts knowledge - specifically reconciliations.
-Strong attention to detail.
-The ability to work at a fast pace.
