Job description
Sewell Wallis are working with a leading Retail business in York who are looking to recruit a Head of Finance on a contract for up to 15 months.Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance you will be responsible for leading the Management Accounts and Finance Systems teams.
Other key responsibilities will include:-
Overseeing the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts
Leading strategic finance projects
Reviewing monthly results
Managing financial risk
Reviewing key finance processes
Maintaining the balance sheet
Managing the year end external audit process
Overseeing a team of 6
Ad hoc project work
Requirements
Fully qualified Accountant, ideally ACA/CIMA/ACCA
Solid knowledge of accounting standards, financial compliance and focus on financial control
Strong reporting background
People management experience
Ability to influence the wider business
