Interim Financial Controller

Sewell Wallis are working with a positive and rewarding organisation in Sheffield who are looking for a qualified accountant to take on an interesting hybrid number two role within a diverse team. The Interim Financial Controller will take on projects to fully delve into the charities services and pricing, providing substantial commercial scope as well as the BAU accounting duties.


The job;

- Provide expert insight and support to the organisation with costing and pricing of our projects, services and products and carry out a major review of the profitability of projects and current business model reporting to the Chief Executive.
- Help establish a local finance team in our overseas subsidiary and support the successful transfer of the finances and processes.
- Advise the Senior Management team on the long term and permanent management and leadership of the Finance function, following the retirement of the Group Finance and HR Director, the transition of the overseas finance team and the review of business model.
- Work with the Group Finance Director to produce annual budgets and long term financial forecasts including financial strategy and reserves policy for the Group
- Ensure effective management of the cashflow and treasury management
- Ensure that monthly management accounts, VAT, statutory and other returns are prepared accurately and on time
- Ensure that annual financial statements are prepared and agreed with the auditors. You will lead on the 2021 audit


The person;

- Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
- Previous commercial finance or charity experience would be advantage


Working Monday to Friday with remote working available.
