Head of Financial Reporting and Compliance

Sewell Wallis are working with a leading Sheffield based organisation looking to recruit a Head of Financial Reporting and Compliance.

As Head of Financial Reporting and Compliance, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial accounting, including preparation of the Annual Report and Financial Statements, treasury management and taxation. Working with stakeholders across the organisation to provide expert advice and ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations, as well as being the lead contact for external stakeholders such as external audit, banks and HMRC.

You will lead the Financial Reporting and Compliance team and have responsibility for the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions.

The job;

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
  • The team is responsible for statutory financial reporting, the integrity of financial transactions, financial compliance, external regulatory compliance (e.g. tax) and treasury management.
  • Responsible for the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions within the Finance team (c. 35 staff).
