Head of Finance

Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance to join a rapidly growing, SME retail business based in Leeds.

This is an extremely exciting opportunity, to join an innovative business that is constantly creating news ideas and products to introduce to market.

The role will suit a motivated newly qualified / qualified accountant, who is keen to be involved in high level decision making, is commercially astute and keen to join a fast paced organisation.

As their new Head of Finance, your role will include the following duties:

  • Producing budgets and forecasts and reporting on any variances
  • Monthly financial reporting
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Business partnering the GM as well as Sales & Marketing divisions
  • Managing banking and cash flow as well as management of foreign currency
  • Overseeing payroll
  • Preparing UK VAT returns
  • Liaising with the auditors
  • Ad hoc project work

Requirements

  • Ideally newly qualified / Qualifed ACA/CIMA / ACCA
  • Strong technical background
  • Experience of Xero desirable
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
