Interim Financial Controller - 9-12 month FTC - £65,000 - £75,000 - Hybrid working

Sewell Wallis are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a leading Retail business with offices in Leeds.

This is a 9-12 month FTC and ideally candidates will be available at short notice.

Reporting to the FD your responsibilities will include:-

Supporting the FD - FP&A & Accounting with providing a high performing management accounts function, delivering accurate monthly management accounts and insightful commentary in line with deadlines
Delivering standardised reporting required for one of the regions, supporting the planning and forecasting process
Internal control and compliance responsibility shared with the Financial Controller - Transactional
Leading, developing and motivating the management accounts team supporting them with timely and insightful management accounts to enable efficient effective decision making by the leadership team
Working with other Financial Controllers and Business Partners to support key deliverables relating to (but not exclusively) statutory accounts, automation, prioritisation, removing workload and process/efficiency improvements
Deputising for the FD - FP&A & Accounting when required

Requirements:-

Fully qualified Accountant, ideally ACA/CIMA / ACCA
Proven ability to lead and manage teams
Excellent business partnering skills
Ideally knowledge of SAP / TM1 / Cognos

This role will involve some UK travel.
