Are you a recently qualified Accountant, looking to take the next step up in your career ladder? If so we are working with an growing SME in Chesterfield, part of a highly acquisitive group who are looking for their future Financial Controller. This role would suit someone who is looking for progression towards being part of the monthly and quarterly leadership meetings, to be an active part in business decision making and to take on the responsibility of leading a small finance team.The successful candidate will be hands on in their role of preparing the monthly board packs including commentary of the P&L and balance sheet. You'll be responsible for all business planning in respect of budgets and forecasting. You'll be responsible for all aspects of year end and will be the main point of contact with all external parties including the bank and auditors.
You'll be reporting into the Managing Director who can train and develop the successful candidate into this role so we're looking for someone qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA who has the drive and passion to take on this role. You'll be IT savvy, have excellent business partnering skills and will ideally have experience preparing management accounts.
