Finance Business Partner

Job description

A rapidly growing manufacturing business are looking for a Finance Business Partner to work across operations providing insight and analysis to drive the business' success. This is an exceptional, hands on opportunity for someone to really enhance their career in a fast moving and driven business.

The Finance Business Partner will provide information and analysis to the Operational Management Team to drive manufacturing efficiency improvements, collate and present accurate monthly financial forecast information, control the costings and review process to enable accurate and timely, and up to date costings.

The job;
*Create, capture data for and analyse a suite of Operational Finance KPIs
*Ensure complete and accurate recording of labour planning and deployment and analyse vs standard
*Work closely with senior operational colleagues to use data and analysis to drive operational efficiency gains
*Main point of contact for NPD, Supply Chain and Commercial team for all product costings
*Maintain and update product costings, evolving as necessary
*Support NPD / Commercial team product costing process
*Provide meaningful P&L commentary on operational performance - daily, weekly and monthly
*Create robust process for the set-up and maintenance of BOM's (Bills of materials) and products within the system
*Ad-hoc reporting on stock movements and variances
*Reporting process through metrics of manufacturing cost variances
*Work closely with the shared finance function on preparation of the monthly management accounts, forecast and budgets
*Present the full management accounting pack at the General Management meeting with in depth understanding
*Identify and propose continual improvement to drive efficiencies and improvement in breadth and quality of information provided
*Implement high level reporting to ensure site level finance tasks like credit control, cash management and purchase ledger transactions are being completely and accurately carried out, on a timely basis
*To complete monthly/quarterly/annual ONS returns
*To become a key figure in the cross functional team which will drive the roll out of a new ERP system
*Develop detailed understanding of sales and margin by customer, product category level
