Finance Assistant

We are delighted to be working with a well-established business in Sheffield who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their supportive team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for either an entry level candidate, or a candidate with existing finance experience who is looking to widen their scope of knowledge across transactional finance. The role will involve working collaboratively with the rest of the longstanding finance team.

Responsibilities:
- Sales invoicing, arranging shipping instructions with freight companies
- Raising Sales ledger credit notes
- Posting cash from customers
- Resolving customer sales ledger queries
- Credit control
- Journals
- Assisting with Purchase ledger
- Scanning and renaming invoices
- Helping with year end audits and stocktakes
- Assist with holiday cover across other companies with transactional work
- Petty cash
- Update Fixed asset register

The successful candidate:
- Either AAT Level 2 qualified, graduated from a relevant degree, or previous finance experience.
- Strong, confident telephone manner
- Exceptional communication, teamwork and customer service skills
