The main focus of the role will be to work closely with Finance Director, assist in design and production of financial reporting and forecasting and in the budget process. Oversee job performance monitoring. Prepare and post month end journals. Assist in the development and application of accounting processes.
Duties will include;
-Assist Finance Director in the preparation of month end journals, including Work in Progress, other accruals and prepayments, stock adjustments and other areas as required.
-Perform month end close down procedures in line within group timescales. Sense check figures and identify and address discrepancies.
-Produce monthly Management Accounts and associated reports, and undertake any analysis of accounts required.
-Oversee the process of job financial performance reporting, assisting and guiding Project Managers in maintaining up to date Job Cost Models.
-Work with IT/Finance Director and Commercial Department to ensure that job performance monitoring systems remain fit for purpose.
-Work with Project Management and Business Development teams to maintain an up to date forecast of expected business performance.
-Assist Finance Director in preparation of annual budget.
-Develop systems for reporting against budget and lead budget reporting process.
This position will be recruited on a temporary ongoing basis and requires an immediate start, to be successful in your application you will have:

Good IT skills
Attention to detail
AAT or equivalent qualified/part qualified
Studying ACCA/CIMA desirable
