Previous experience in an accounts or finance role would be beneficial, if not experience of having worked in an office/customer service focused environment will be considered if the person has the right attitude and is keen to learn and secure a career in finance/credit control.

Role: Assistant Credit Controller
Location: Leeds City Centre
Salary: up to £20,000 - depending on experience
As the Assistant Credit Controller your key responsibilities will include:
-Chasing outstanding monies both over the telephone and via email and ensuring that high levels of customer service are maintained throughout
-Covering a portfolio of small, high value accounts
-Dealing with any queries or issues in a prompt and professional manner
-Understanding the end to end process for each individual client and tailoring the collection approach as required
-Identifying risks and escalating accordingly
-Allocating payments and updating the ledger for month end
-Monitoring and analysing debt balances and identify any problematic accounts
-Building relationships with the wider finance team and in particular the accounts payable team
-Working towards both individual and team targets and deadlines
-Providing general administrative and team support when necessary
Skills and qualities we are looking for as the Assistant Credit Controller:
-Someone who is passionate about building good internal and external relationships
-Excellent attention to detail with a positive attitude to solving problems
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-A good team player with strong interpersonal skills
-Good IT skills with an excellent knowledge of Excel and Outlook
-Someone who is organised and target driven
