This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to progress in their career and to grow with a successful and established company.
Benefits: £32,000 to £35,000 + 25 days holiday + Flexible Working + Pension
Main duties & responsibilities:
*Monitoring adherence to policy and procedure and proactively making suggestions for improvement where necessary
*Analyse spend and review supply base
*Work alongside process team to source technical components for existing and new suppliers
*Line manage assistant buyer
*Technical and non-technical categories of spend - to be determined
*Full ownership of project buying of key - full ownership of Procurement on key contracts
*Working alongside SQE for supplier monitoring and development
*Undertake spend analysis when required
*Working towards consolidation of supply base
*Sourcing new suppliers as and when necessary
*Working with legal to ensure correct T&C's in place for various suppliers
*Placing orders through MRP system
*Assist in shaping policy and continuous improvement of procedures to reduce waste and increase efficiency
Ideal Candidate:
*CIPS or MCIPS
*Experience working in a manufacturing industry and/or EC&I
*Technical understanding of EC&I (desirable)
*Ambitious
*Strong Attention to detail
*Supplier negotiation experience
*A commercial attitude
*Interpersonal skills
