A fantastic opportunity has arisen with my client for a Bookkeeper to join on a permanent basis. This is a 'hands on' role with a profitable and professional services business based within the North Leeds area.

This role will report directly into the Finance Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting using Sage Line 50. This position will suit a commercially minded individual with a good telephone manner who is well organised and can demonstrate a successful track record ideally working in small to medium sized businesses.

Main duties of the role will involve:-


-Processing, matching, batching and coding purchase and sales invoices on a daily basis
-Dealing with supplier statement reconciliations
-Contacting clients resolving issues and queries
-Processing payments and advising on who should be paid and when
-Carrying out bank reconciliations
-Daily banking
-VAT returns and preparations of accounts to trial balance
-Dealing with suspense accounts and cheques
-Supporting on the credit control side as and when required
-Coding on the nominal ledger
-Assisting with HR related duties and other ad-hoc duties
