Job descriptionA new opportunity to work for a long standing firm of Chartered Accountants has arisen! I am looking for an Audit Senior to join their team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to progress their career within a friendly, supportive team.
This role is quite broad with what it offers as. This role isn't just audit, it is dealing with the rest of the finance team (made up of 20 colleagues), and being that first point of contact to the director. It's also working with your own portfolio of clients and doing the accounts. You can really make it what you want it to be!
The types of clients you will be working with range from Fast-food retailers, to jewellery and even charities and landlords.
The audit senior role includes:
-The preparation of accounts and audits for a ranging client portfolio
-Liaising directly with clients at both finance and director level to ensure a smooth audit process
-Working alongside the larger corporate team on group audits
-Assisting with the development of more junior staff
-Managing a portfolio of clients dealing with accounts and liaising with the personal tax team on SATRs
-Attendance of audit and accounts client meetings, building relationships with clients and being the first point of contact for both the finance team and directors
-Effectively planning and managing own workload to meet internal, client and statutory deadlines
Ideally applicants should be:
-At least level 4 AAT qualified or qualified by experience from working in UK accountancy practice
-Have 1-2 years experience in Audit
-Be able to build strong relationships in the team and with clients
-Experience with Xero and sage systems
-Between 3-5% pension contribution
-Death in service
-Free car parking space
-Route to partnership
