Assistant Project Accountant

Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with a professional services firm based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint an Assistant Project Accountant in their finance team.

As the Assistant Project Accountant, you will be a self-motivated and highly articulate individual, who is eager to take on the following responsibilities:-

  • Support to improve the controls and compliance environment across all the international finance teams.
  • Support with the post go live system project, to reconcile financial balances, cleanse the data and improve all processes.
  • Reconcile group reporting packages, including analysing the differences identified and correcting them accordingly.
  • Monitor statutory compliance.
  • Support the external audit process and liaise with auditors.
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects.
  • Stay up to date with accounting stands and legislation's.

To be considered for this role you will ideally be:-

  • A part qualified Accountant seeking further study support
  • Knowledge of IFRS is essential, be it through working experience or via studies towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
