The role is ideal for either an AAT qualified or bright graduate with experience in an accounts team with good month end experience.
Main Accountabilities/Key Result Areas
*Preparation of timely management accounts and KPIs, ensuring appropriate accounting procedures and controls are maintained. Ensure business transactions are accurately accounted for and that all reporting of results is delivered to the business on a timely basis. Ensure revenue is recognised in line with company policy.
*Production and distribution of client reports in line with company deadlines detailing billed charges, monies received and highlighting any additional or ad-hoc charges. Answer any associated client queries and facilitate subsequent monthly payments to the client.
*Preparation of annual budgets and monthly re-forecasts, liaising with departmental managers to explain variances and offer constructive challenges where needed.
*Partner with ICT to develop improved and simplified Financial Management Information for the business.
*Provide a business partnering role to departmental heads reporting on cost variances compared to plan and advising on potential savings or other opportunities/areas for improvement to ensure financial performance is optimised. Provide insightful analysis to direct attention to the areas of required focus.
*Assist with the preparation for the year-end audit and liaise with the auditors.
*Ensure balance sheet account reconciliations are completed accurately and any open items are addressed promptly and cleared. Assist with receivables management and cash collections as needed.
*Support other team members with different areas of responsibility in Finance and provide cover/back-up in case of absence, or support during times of peak workload.
*Other ad hoc tasks as and when required.
