Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join one of our clients, a successful business based near Ilkley, who require someone to join them due to growth.

They are looking for someone who has strong, all-round finance experience who has gained exposure to the month end process to allow them to hit the ground running.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:-

-Supporting in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
-Producing accruals, prepayments and journals.
-Assisting with cashflow forecasting.
-Managing cash allocation.
-Preparing and balancing of weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
-Producing and distributing daily banking figures.
-Reconciling bank statements and identifying and logging fixed assets.
-Amending invoices and creating credit notes.
-Assisting with nominal ledger including processing journals and month-end adjustments.
-Performing balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns.
-Assisting with more transactional processing duties as and when required.

You will:-

-Ideally be studying towards CIMA/ACCA.
-Have strong banking skills.
-Be competent with the use of Excel; have the ability to do pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
