Our Client, a market leading organisation based in Sheffield, is currently recruiting for an analyst to join their tax team initially for a 6 month fixed term basis.

This is no ordinary data role - it requires a truly analytical mind with the ability to look at processes and enhance them, develop and manage spreadsheets to ensure data is correct, produce extensive reports, submit data via the HMRC portal and deal with a heavy workload.

The main duties include:

*Completion of customs declarations for moving goods GB-NI (required by the Brexit Irish Protocol). Training will be provided but this work will involve taking the raw excel data, reorganising, and formatting work to then input into a Customs online portal.

*Working under own initiative to process large volumes of data but also to question the data and obtain further information where necessary.

*Working collaboratively with the Tax, Merchandise, Inventory, Product Data and IT teams to process the correct data but also to liaise with suppliers for additional information where required.

*Working with the customs agent trader support service to ensure experience and learning of the new system continues. For example, attending online training sessions and ensuring queries are logged and investigated.

They are looking for someone who ideally can start asap and has the following skill set:
*Analytically minded
*Competent on excel and handling large volumes of data
*Excellent communication skills
*Attention to detail and diligent
*Self-starter with ability to work under own initiative
*Ability to coordinate project work

Tis role has the potential to become permanent on completion of the 6 month contract and will initially be home based however will in time move to a flexible office / home basis.
