About the Role

Sewell Wallis are working with a long-standing Chartered Accounting Firm in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, who is looking to expand their team due to growth. Due to sustained expansion the team are looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee accounts preparation and tax returns.

This Senior Accountant role is open for those qualified or part qualified Accountants, as long as you have substantial experience working with SME clients in a practice environment, offering a customer-first approach, being able to maintain well-established client relationships.

What will you be doing?

  • Accounts preparation for a range of SMEs across various industries (up to £50mil T/O)
  • Client Bookkeeping
  • Preparation of Personal Tax returns
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Preparation of Corporate Tax Returns

What skills are we looking for?

  • Part-qualified or qualified chartered accountant
  • Practice experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to priorities workloads
  • Attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach and team player
