The job;

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Director will oversee all financial aspects of business operations. This hands-on role encompasses managing a small transactional team while providing strategic financial guidance to drive business growth.

  • Lead and manage the finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the accurate and timely execution of financial tasks.
  • Oversee the full accounts function, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Develop robust financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and senior management team to develop financial strategies that support business objectives and drive profitability.
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function to enhance overall performance and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support decision-making and ensure alignment of financial goals with operational objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
  • Number 1 experience or potentially an experienced Financial Controller ready to progress
  • SME Manufacturing experience
