About the Role

Sewell Wallis are recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join a growing commercial finance team in Sheffield, this is a rare opportunity for a newly qualified or latter stages part qualified accountant to step into commercial finance from a management accounting or analyst role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management and department heads to provide financial insights and analysis, supporting strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business functions, offering financial guidance and support to enable achievement of business objectives.
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with operational teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives, leveraging financial expertise to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset, with a keen interest in commercial finance and a desire to drive business performance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; adaptable and able to thrive in a changing landscape.
