E-Billing Specialist

About the Role

Sewell Wallis is excited to be partnering with a well-established Leeds City Centre company that is seeking an E-Billing Specialist to join their experienced West Yorkshire billing team on a 24-month fixed-term contract.

The E-Billings Specialist is responsible for preparing and submitting electronic invoices, ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines, and resolving billing issues promptly.

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting with the preparation of bills, credit notes, and proformas, and handling general enquiries from partners and clients.
  • Managing time and disbursement write-offs, as well as intra-matter transfers.
  • Working closely with partners, fee earners, billers, and Revenue Co-ordinators to monitor unbilled time and costs, and support timely and effective billing.
  • Assisting with the submission of e-billing invoices through client systems, or via email where required.
  • Collaborating with the E-biller to ensure invoices are uploaded on time and to resolve any rejections promptly.
  • Maintaining a diary of billing events and ensuring all actions are followed up appropriately.
  • Flagging any issues to the Billing Manager and helping to maintain smooth service delivery.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Prior experience of e-billing or billing, ideally gained within professional services.
  • Direct experience using Elite 3E would be advantageous, however is not essential.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of legal billing guidelines and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word.
