The successful Credit Controller candidate will take ownership of a large and varied sales ledger, supporting with debt reduction, payment allocation and query management across multiple locations. Experience within transactional finance and strong understanding of accounts receivable/sales ledger duties is required.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing a portfolio of 500+ sales ledger accounts.
  • Chasing overdue payments via telephone, email and written correspondence.
  • Supporting the reduction of aged debt across the ledger.
  • Allocating incoming payments accurately.
  • Managing and resolving accounts receivable queries.
  • Reviewing customer accounts and identifying overdue balances.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all collection activity.
  • Working closely with the wider finance team and Regional Credit Manager.
  • Supporting with general sales ledger administration where required.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Previous experience within a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work towards targets and manage a busy workload.
  • Good attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
