About the Role

I'm working on behalf of a popular Leisure business in the Mexborough area who are looking for an Assistant Head of Finance to get stuck in and lead the Finance team!

Your responsibilities as Assistant Head of Finance:

  • Oversee the financial management and reporting of each event function, including pre event forecast and post event results, providing detailed explanations for variances to plan.
  • Review weekly reports for each event
  • Prepare accurate and timely management accounts 
  • Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage your team’s performance with regular 1:1’s and appraisal meetings
  • Review the purchase, sales and general ledger postings to ensure the companies accounting procedures are being correctly adopted.

What you NEED to have as a candidate:

  • Experience managing and leading a team
  • CIMA qualified is preferable but will look at ACA/ACCA qualified 
  • Hotel or Sports & Leisure experience desired
  • Previous experience with ERP systems - knowledge/experience of Exchequer is advantageous
