What will you be doing?

As an Assistant Accountant, you will:

  • Assist in monthly management accounts preparation.
  • Reconcile and clear Nominal Ledger accounts.
  • Input and code cash book payments/receipts.
  • Fixed assets.
  • Support any data entry into the computer system.
  • Assist in the preparation of year end accounts.
  • Maintain Company petty cash records.
  • Prepare VAT return quarterly.
  • Prepare Bank reconciliation.
  • Periodically check petty cash.
  • Complete analysis as required.
  • Stock reconciliation.
  • Any other Ad Hoc tasks as may be required.

What skills will you need?

  • Prior experience in a similar role (preferably motor retail).
  • Experience using Kerridge.
  • Strong use of Excel.
  • Great communication skills.
