Senior Finance Analyst

Sewell Wallis are currently working on an exclusive basis with a large, global organisation based in east Leeds, who are looking to appoint an ambitious Senior Finance Analyst to join their large finance function.

This Senior Finance Analyst role would be a great opportunity for someone at Manager level, working for a recognised accountancy practice, who is looking to move into a varied role consisting of financial accounting and FP&A work, with the potential to work towards a fully commercially focused role in the future.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, your role will include the following duties:-

-Provide insightful financial reporting and analysis to support the senior leadership team with management and reporting
-Submission of monthly financial results
-Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting and project support to senior management
-Produce monthly reports and variance reporting
-Identify areas of performance improvement
-Develop models to aid strategic decision making
-Prepare the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly audit files
-Annual external audit
-Contribute towards quarterly VAT and Corporation tax preparation
-Liaising closely with Operating business units
-Manage the invoicing process
-Effectively business partner with non-finance areas of the business

The ideal candidate will be:-

-A qualified accountant, 1-2 years PQE
-Be a technically strong accountant, ideally practice trained
-Ambitious, confident and keen to progress
-Experience working either within a large organisation or auditing large clients in practice
