This professional services business has recently been generously funded, with high confidence, to support its ambitious growth plans moving forward.
To succeed, they require an experienced Senior Client Accountant to join them, to support the vision of the company and to attract the best new clients possible. This highly commercially focused position will have a fine balance between being in the detail of the numbers, whilst managing and delegating to a small team so that you can get involved in the strategic direction of the business. You will therefore need to be comfortable in being initially hands on until the team is formed.
This position would suit someone looking to make their first move from practice into industry, due to similarities of managing a client portfolio and supporting the Directors in winning new business. Therefore you must have excellent technical capabilities alongside confident and articulate communication skills, in order to partner with internal and external stakeholders.
Your role as Senior Client Accountant will include the following duties and will be reporting into the Director:-
-Provide end to end accountancy services for several varied clients
-Recruiting and a developing a small finance function below you, so you can support with more strategic elements across the business
-Preparation of statutory accounts
-Work with the Directors of the business to develop and progress the business plan
-Overseeing VAT returns and tax computations
-Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
-Pre year end planning work to provide clients with projections and performance reviews
You will need to be a qualified accountant with experience in client relationships management and providing end to end accountancy services. You will be someone self-motivated and ambitious, who is seeking a highly commercial and strategic position.
