Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Part Time Accounts Assistant to join a well-established business based within the North Leeds area. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role assisting with the management accounts processes.

This role is to primarily support the management accounts function but you will also be required to support the transactional activities of the wider finance team. The role is working on a part time basis 20-24 hours a week but the client are flexible on days/times these hours are worked but during busier times you may be required to work more hours. Full study support will be provided for the successful candidate.

You will be responsible for the following:-

-Supporting and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
-Taking on and improving the purchase price variance review with procurement and standard cost updates.
-Assisting with the month end process, including prepping working papers and posting journals and implementing improvements.
-Assisting with external and internal audit process.
-Preparing, maintaining and challenging full accruals, prepayment, fixed asset register and costing analysis.
-Providing analytical commentary with proactive actions for balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
-Preparing budgets and forecasts.
