Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with a leading consultancy business based in north Leeds who urgently require an Interim Financial Accountant to support the Financial Controller as soon as possible for 18 months.This business has developed an exceptional finance team and provides a highly interesting and innovative product to their customers. Although initially a contract, there is every chance of this role becoming permanent as it develops and changes over time. However, this can obviously not be guaranteed at this stage.
As the Interim Financial Accountant, you will be required to deliver accurate internal and external reporting packages in line with reporting deadlines. You must have a background in technical accounting and be someone who can confidently produce statutory accounts and work to tight deadlines.
Reporting to the Financial Controller your role will include the following duties:-
-Preparation and delivery of the UK statutory accounts
-UK taxation work including preparation of tax computations, Vat returns and general tax compliance
-Support with treasury management and cashflow
-Assist in the preparation of month end closure forecast and budgets
-Be the lead contact for stats during audits
-Support with the development of creating robust financial controls and strong financial frameworks
-Full oversight of UK overhead, monitoring variances and recommending development of cost savings
-Ad hoc special projects that will provide you with excellent exposure to the wider business
To be considered for this role you must be available at short notice and be a qualified accountant, ideally ACA/ACCA. You will have extensive experience of producing statutory accounts and be someone who is confident in liaising with the wider business and senior stakeholders.
