Assistant Accountant

Sewell Wallis are working alongside a lively global giant who are excited to welcome an Assistant Accountant to their team on an Initial 6 month basis!

You will be working for a booming business based in Worksop, joining a lively and diverse team. They are an interesting industry and this would be a fantastic move for someone who is looking to take that next step. The progression here is outstanding, they are absolutely brilliant at training and mentorship so you will gain incredible knowledge and experience here!

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be working closely with the Contract Accountants alongside a number of duties, including:
- Validating revenue and costs for key contracts
- Checking payroll for errors on a weekly and monthly basis
- Ensuring data is up to date and accurate across the system
- Liaise with various departments regarding contracts
- Competently manage and record revenue
- Purchase Ledger
- Assist the Sales Ledger department when required

This role would suite someone with a good understanding of finance who is looking to progress towards accounting. The ideal candidate will:
- Have knowledge and experience in finance/accounts
- Be competent across various software (Microsoft, Google)
- Have an enthusiastic and determined attitude
- Effectively communicate with other departments, client and customers
- Have good attention to detail
- Have a form of accounting qualification such as AAT or Degree level (desired but not essential)
