About the Role

Sewell Wallis seek an experienced Senior Financial Accountant for an exciting interim contract opportunity with a leading Sheffield-based business.

This role is pivotal in supporting the finance team during a critical period and is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial accounting and audit.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the Audit Process: Take charge of the company’s audit process, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Balance Sheet Management: Provide expert oversight of the balance sheet, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and up to date.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring alignment with statutory requirements and company policies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business, providing financial insights and guidance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Audit Expertise: Proven track record in managing or leading audits within a large organisation.
  • Strong Balance Sheet Skills: In-depth knowledge and experience in balance sheet management and financial reporting.
  • Problem Solver: Ability to work under pressure, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Immediate Availability: Ready to start immediately or within a short notice period.
