Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with a Barnsley based company who are currently looking to add a skilled Payroll Assistant to their team. This is a full-time permanent position.

The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, friendly team. The role would be suited to a candidate with previous payroll experience, who also has knowledge of wider accounting functions such as purchase and sales ledger.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- All aspects of monthly and weekly payroll for 250+ employees
- Processing weekly and monthly pensions
- Preparing and posting payroll journals
- Basic purchase ledger duties, including; resolving invoice queries, processing invoices, reviewing employee expenses.
- Basic sales ledger duties, including; chasing overdue payments, raising customer invoices, issuing statements.

You must be:
- Experienced in the payroll function
- Experienced using Sage Line 50 (or similar)
- A good communicator

- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Half day on a Friday
- Matched pension up to 6%
