Position Overview:

As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our organisation. Beyond your day-to-day financial responsibilities, this role is specifically designed for a qualified accountant with leadership aspirations. We are offering a unique and comprehensive succession plan that aims to propel the successful candidate into the position of Finance Director within the next few years.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Oversight:
    • Manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring adherence to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting standards.
    • Uphold compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
  1. Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and inspire the finance team, cultivating a culture of collaboration and excellence.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, actively contributing to their professional development.
  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with executive management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.
    • Play a key role in driving and executing the company's growth initiatives.
  1. Succession Planning:
    • Work closely with the executive team to execute a well-defined succession plan.
    • Develop and mentor team members for future leadership roles within the finance department.
  1. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present insightful financial reports to executive management, influencing strategic decision-making.
    • Conduct thorough financial analysis to support and guide key business initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a financial leadership role.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Ambitious and driven, with a clear desire to progress into a Finance Director role.
