Sewell Wallis are working with a large, progressive industrial business in the Chesterfield area who are seeking a Finance Manager to join them in their fast paced environment!

This is an amazing opportunity for someone who's hands on and able to assist in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data. The goal or this role is to support the Financial Controller with the decision-making process, that will ensure business growth and long-term success.

A summary of what you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and that all balances are correct, and differences investigated.
  • Assisting with year-end statutory audit process including annual stock take
  • Carry out reconciliations on all bank accounts, inputting payments, and preparing cash flow forecast.
  • Assisting with Process Improvement, exploring and suggesting ways to improve the day-to-day accounting processes.
  • Preparation of VAT returns on monthly and quarterly basis, Intrastat returns, and excise duty compliance.
  • Liaising with overseas subsidiaries

Are you the right fit?

  • PQ or Qual ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to extract and manipulate data
  • Involvement within budgeting and forecasting, including analysis
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
