Commercial Finance Business Partner

Job description

Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join a leading brand with offices in Leeds.

You will be a qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA / ACCA / ACA with strong stakeholder management skills and reporting to the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include:-

  • Supporting and working closely with the Commercial team
  • Taking the finance lead on all pricing and promotional activity with an understanding of how this impacts on revenue and margins and ensuring this is reflected in the forecast
  • Developing and reviewing an appropriate suite of reports to improve the tracking of pricing and promotional activity and measure its effectiveness
  • Working closely with the Buying and Supply Chain Finance teams to understand impact of any pricing changes and how this may effect any commercial decision making
  • Agreeing appropriate sales intake targets with the Commercial and Sales teams
  • Being the finance lead on all business cases linked to new product investment and any range review activity
  • Managing the monthly forecasting process
  • Ensuring knowledge on intake for the channels is inputted into the process as well as a clear understanding of profitability across the channels
  • Reviewing of month end and presenting to the Commercial teams
  • Working as the finance lead on all new product investment and any range review activities
  • Providing analysis and building business cases as appropriate to be presented at Board level for sign off
  • Ongoing post project reviews
  • Working with the wider Business Partner Team to develop and implement financial best practice

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Accountant with solid business partnering skills
  • Confident, with the ability to work with non finance teams across the group
  • Strong influencing and presentation skills
  • Good analytical background
