Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join our client who are based on the outskirts of Leeds on an ongoing temporary basis for approximately 6/8 months. This role is initially to cover maternity however they are a growing business so there is potential for the position to develop into a permanent role later down the line.

The role itself will report directly into the Credit Manager and they require someone who is comfortable with all aspects of Credit Control who can get stuck in and hit the ground running.

The main duties of the role will be -

- Reviewing and analysing aged debt and making high volumes of calls to recover monies.
- Agreeing debt collection targets and negotiating payment plans.
- Payment handling.
- Ensuring that credit notes are processed correctly, monitoring reasons for credit notes being raised.
- Identifying problem debts that require escalation and liaising with the Credit Control Manager as appropriate.
- Allocating cash.
- Reconciling accounts.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required including invoice coding and running system reports.

- Have a strong credit control background.
- Have experience allocating cash.
- Be available immediately.
