Sewell Wallis are very excited to be working alongside our market leading client looking to add a Structures Estimator to their expanding team. Our client is a large civil engineering company employing over 150 staff and with a turnover of £14m.This is a great opportunity for an Estimator looking to get into and progress within a market leading company with a great family feel environment.
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 + Training + Pension + Gym membership
Duties and Responsibilities:-
*Estimating: tendering for construction and maintenance such as steel, erection, fabric structures and electrical installation
*Process new enquiries
*Site visits: evaluation, quantity calculations from drawings and building up costs
*Maximise sales/turnovers
*Preparation of tender submissions, this entails costs, programme and projects with a value of £1m
*Maintain suppliers
*Working with a small team, from client requests to contract award on a number of structures
Ideal candidate:-
*Minimum of 3 years' estimating experience in a construction industry
*Tender experience
*Degree level or equivalent in Construction Management, engineering or Quantity Surveying
*Good mathematical skills
*Excellent communication skills
*Strong organisational skills
*Ability to work towards deadlines
*Logical thinking
