Senior Operations Accountant

Job description

Our client is a highly profitable and expanding business based in Wakefield, who are looking to appoint a Senior Operations Accountant to join their impressive finance function. This varied and pivotal role, will involve business partnering with the Operations side of the company, providing financial support and expertise to non-finance on a regular basis.

This Senior Operations Accountant role would suit someone who still enjoys the routine of month end and managing junior finance members, however also has a desire to work closely with multiple sites and add value across them.

Your duties would include the following:-

-Managing an Accounts Assistant, with consistent development reviews
-Financial reporting and analysis
-Identify improvements across all financial processes and systems
-Partner closely with the Operations and FP&A departments
-Review VAT return
-Balance sheet reconciliations
-Variance analysis and cash flow forecasting
-Deputise for the Financial Controller when they are out of the business


To be considered for this role you will need the following experience:-

-Qualified Accountant or equivalent
-Business partnering experience, ideally with Operations/Manufacturing
-Self-motivated and enthusiastic
-Fantastic communication skills
