Sewell Wallis have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Cashier in the Leeds area. The position sits within a growing finance team and reports directly into the Finance Manager.The successful candidate will assist the Finance Manager with the day to day monitoring and compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR's) and the organisations' regulatory responsibilities.

As the Senior Legal Cashier you will be responsible for the following:
Investigation and resolution of breaches in a timely manner.
Accurate recoding of SAR breaches.
Review and audit of client files and ledgers.
Produce reports for the Finance Manager.
Timely and accurate filing of all support documents for audits.
Providing support and training to junior members of the office.
Ensure policy and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Ensure system controls are active and monitored.
Other ad hoc duties as and when required.
The ideal candidate will have:
5 years' + experience in a legal cashiering role (Essential).
An excellent knowledge of current SARs.
Demonstrated a strong understanding of regulatory compliance.
Strong communication skills.
A strong work ethic.
An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
