Senior Finance Manager - Harrogate - £50,000 - £60,000 - Hybrid working

Job description:-

As the Senior Finance Manager, you would be joining a business that is at a point of pivotal growth, having recently raised a significant amount of investment to take the business to the next level and at least double in size. Our client is already successfully operating across the UK and Australia and are now beginning to make a dent in the US market too!

If you are an ambitious finance professional that is looking for that next step up, then this is a great role to consider. Candidates looking for the first move out of practice will absolutely be considered too.

Reporting into a London based Financial Controller, this Senior Finance Manager role will include the following responsibilities:-

-Managing two qualified Management Accountants and overseeing a wider team of 3 more junior individuals.
-Provide regular coaching to improve their skills and delegate appropriately, setting achievable objectives
-Behave as a natural leader and motivator for your team
-Ensuring all financial controls are improved and in place, to mitigate any financial risk to the business
-Support in identifying and implementing a new financial system as the business grows and changes
-Work closely with the Project Manager to aid the on-boarding of the new system
-Implement more accurate reporting
-Assist with the annual audit process with the external auditors
-Oversee the Management Accountants balance sheet review work to prepare reconciliation reports for review by the Financial Controller
-Ensure the VAT accounting complies with relevant taxation regulations
-Share budget variance analysis
-Ensure regular MI and KPI's are prepared and provided to the wider business
-Business partner effectively with the wider business to ensure operational performance is communicated regularly and accurately
-Identify how to control costs and enhance operational performance

To be considered for this excellent and varied opportunity, you will need to meet the following criteria:-

-Be a qualified accountant, ACCA, ACA, CIMA
-Be a confident communicator that can regularly liaise with the wider business
-Strong analytical and technical skills
-Practice background desirable but certainly not essential
