Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Senior Estimator for an engineering company based in Chesterfield. This position would ideally suit an experienced Estimator with a construction background who is technically and logistically minded. Reporting into the Business Development Director, the candidate will be responsible for pricing and winning work and to build strong working relationships with clients.Competitive salary
Duties:
*Estimating/pricing of façade renovations, building maintenance and repairs.
*Responding to client queries and keeping clients updated on the project status.
*Preparing estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
*Preparing estimates to meet project goals, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
*Collaborating with other teams, conducting site visits, and providing other services.
Skills:
*Degree educated or equivalent relevant construction qualifications (HND, Btec etc.)
*Background in construction
*Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
*IT literate- ability to use and manipulate complex excel spreadsheets.
*Brilliant management and negotiation skills.
*Ability to build relationships
*Technically minded
*Self-motivated
