Purchase Ledger Administrator

Job description

A well renowned Sheffield based organisation are looking for a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be long-standing supportive team. The candidate will require a high attention to detail and will ideally have previous experience and knowledge of purchase ledger processes, as well as being competent and comfortable using different IT packages. Entry level candidates with a relevant a relevant Finance and Accountancy related degree of AAT qualifications may also be considered.


Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Create and maintain purchase ledger accounts
- Maintain suppliers details by amending names, addresses and bank details as required.
- Reconcile purchase ledger accounts
- Prepare and process BACS payments and post the cash
- Process the purchase invoices, credits and fuel expenses
- Assist with month end reconciliation
- Deal with queries in an efficient and professional manner

You must have:
- Previous accounts experience.
- High attention to detail
- Good organisation skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- The ability to build good working relationships.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent telephone manner
