Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Plant Accountant to join a business in Deeside.

Our client is looking for a fully qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA/ACCA with a strong finance business partnering background.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Plant Manager, your key responsibilities will include:-

Managing the financial PO reporting, accruals, and reconciliations for the purchasing process
Preparing and processing month end journals
Balance sheet reconciliations
Month end variance analysis and other month end reports
Reviewing the VAT return
Foreign currency transactions
Reviewing Inventory transaction analysis and processes
Stock take and a close collaboration with stores staff including reconciliations
Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation maintenance
All month end duties up to and including the first draft of the variance analysis
Month end review with Financial Controller, Plant Manager and FP&A Manager
Providing supervisory support, guidance and coaching to the Accounts Assistant, including goal setting
Providing support to the wider finance team

Requirements

Fully qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA / ACCA (minimum of 5 years PQE)
Excellent IT skills
Flexibility to travel between the different sites
