I'm currently working with a fast growing business in York who have further expansion plans which will create fantastic opportunities for ambitious employees.

Your role with have a large amount of autonomy to improve processes and controls where you see fit.

The Management Accountants are supported by a good size transactional team which enables a focus on the value add for you.

You will also have full responsibility for the divisional P+L, discussing variance analysis with non-finance stakeholders.

Ideally you will be fully qualified however a finalist with good experience will be considered.

Your new role

You will responsible for a mix of accounting work, assisting with migration of accounts between systems. You will assist with group consolidation and verifying accuracy of vat reporting. You will be assisting with the production of monthly management accounts, assisting with the development of payroll forecasting and budgeting systems and preparation of accruals and prepayment calculations. You will manage the coding structure of the financial system including creating and linking ledger codes.

You will be assisting with the annual budget and forecast preparation communicating with budget holders as required. You will prepare balance sheet reconciliations including inter-company. You will maintain ongoing project invoicing and reconciliation. You will liaise with budget holders to determine variance between forecast and actual budget assisting with their cost management development and control.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be a part or fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years' experience within a management accountant role. You will have excellent IT skills in particular Excel with pivot tables and v look up experience. You will have experience of budgeting and forecast with strong analytical skills. You will be able to communicate confidently with both finance and non-finance staff.
