Management Accountant

Sewell Wallis are currently working with a well-known business based in Harrogate who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their highly dynamic finance team.

This is a great opportunity for a part qualified or finalist accountant who is looking to join a fast-paced company with excellent progression on offer.

As the Management Accountant, your role will include the following duties and you will be reporting into a highly forward thinking FC:-

-Provide detailed overhead analysis to support various different departments to enable them to understand the budgets set and where they are compared to forecast
-Prepare VAT returns for both the UK and overseas entities
-Business partnering with various departmental heads including operations and marketing to aid strategic decision making
-Balance sheet reconciliations
-Prepare the monthly management accounts and support with commentary analysis
-Manage 1 junior team member, focusing on regular reviews and development plans
-Look at current processes and systems in place and how these could be improved, then work with the FC to implement them
-Calculation of accrual and prepayments

To be considered for this fantastic role, you must be a highly driven individual who is eager to progress within a company. You will have a solid background in management accounting, whether that be in practice or industry. It is also essential that you can prepare VAT returns.
